About
Margot Films is a filmmaker-led, full-service film production company dedicated to crafting bold, cinematic stories for theatrical release and broadcasters/streamers, alongside distinctive work for brands, agencies and artists. Our debut feature film, a documentary titled Harder Than The Rock, premiered at Sheffield DocFest in 2024, then went on theatrical release in UK cinemas. The exclusive UK/Ireland rights were snapped up by Sky, Arte acquired the film for French and German territories in Europe and it's available on demand via various global streaming platforms, including Amazon Prime, Tubi and Mubi. The documentary was one of eight films selected in the Arts & Music category at the 2025 Grierson Awards. “An infectiously engaging and very moving rhapsody for the groundbreaking rebels dubbed ‘the backbone of British reggae’. A terrific doc that tells a story you can’t quite believe you didn’t know.” MARK KERMODE on Harder Than The Rock, KERMODE & MAYO'S TAKE |
